question? In the report that you file they will ask something like this: what did they do?. I have placed several complaints on different companies before. They need alot of info and what they did.

This is a cheap low for Ganz to dig in our pockets further. I thought the site was for the kids to enjoy and not about who has what in there rooms or dock.

Im still a bit ticked off and I was gonna go get the POTM today... not to mention the new pets coming this week...
I also wrote to the BBB in the state that I am in......I am not quite sure but i think from reading their site you can file the complaint directly from there. I already had the Poodles or else I would not be buying any....that is for certain. They have a really poor reputation with the BBB. It is hard to give $ to a company that chooses to do business like this.

Welll, to begin with, their POTM ads do not state anything about NOT getting POTM items if you have items in your acccont that exceed the number of POTM....that is just a start...... People spent $ on these animals only to find out AFTER, that they wouldn't get the POTM items. and Ganz is not standing behind it.

I just finished writing my BBB complaint thing. I went to the one in NY so that it gets directly to them.

We will see if anything happens. If enough complaints get written.. maybe? Or maybe someone just needs to take this to the media LOL

I can picture all of us waving signs and our webkinz.... sorry I know this is a serious issue, but there has to be some kinda ice breaker LOL

That would be a loop hole for you! You could use that as your complaint.

Well, I am happy about the change in the pet of the month for May b/c I already have a panda-- and I wasn't sure I could not buy one and get the POTM item.

That being said, I think that Ganz is making a classic mistake here. They are more concerned about the few people who are taking advantage of being able to send virtual items to people and are cashing by selling virtual items for real cash than about the many people who are not only buying items from Ganz but who are buying a lot of items from Ganz.

I said something similar in another thread earlier, but the people who are making money on Ganz's virtual items will always find a new way to take advantage of the new "hot" toy, but if they drive away the people who love their products with a bunch of rules (even if there frustration at the situation might be justified) that limit and inhibit everyone (no matter that most people aren't selling these things on ebay) then they are doing really damage to the brand.

It may seem counterintuitive to be happy that people are making money off of free items they get from Ganz, but in fact it is a sign that the product is hot. It seems to me that the best way for them to discourage the whole selling of virtual items would be to spend their time and programming tracking the people who are doing this and taking away their right to kinz post or whatever-- rather than discouraging people from trading.

This makes me sad b/c I often send my niece and nephew items that they want but don't have. B/c I only recently started buying the pet of the month (Jan.), I haven't passed many of these items on. However, I probably won't do that w/any POTM items to them b/c they don't get to have a POTM every month (it's more like a couple of times a year), and they get so excited about the extra gift. I would hate for one of them to miss out on that extra special item b/c I gave them something.

One solution I was thinking of for traders is that I suppose you could open a completely new account just to adopt the POTM animals in. The wish tokens have encouraged me to keep adopting on the account where I have already received a couple of them. However, once I collect enough tokens I may do that. I am jealous of all those people who have Asian and European accounts-- although I will admit that I am afraid I may lose sleep if I go that route.

Man, I feel bad for the people who have been at this for a good while. The big down side to this is that the most loyal, most long term fans of Webkinz are the ones most likely to suffer due to this new policy. People like me, who haven't been here that long, haven't had a chance to accumulate enough items to run into a problem.
