Isn't the $20ish price point just speculation? Let's wait until we have some official info from Ganz before we start complaining. I hate hearing so much negativity about a game that didn't even get released yet. :/
Back on topic, I'm wondering if this is going to be Farmville-like judging from the "free to play" model and targeting adult women players. That could be interesting.
I wondered since the target is young ladies if the figurines are porcelain? If that is indeed the price range I would think they would be a collectible porcelain. I just don't see anyone spending 15.00 dollars on a plastic figurine in todays economy especially with all the free websites out there. I don't much care for the 3d webkinz hamster world so I don't think I will like this but if I do like the trail game I wouldn't pay more than 5.00 for a figure especially if it's like webkinz and they keep coming out with more and more every month. We'll just have to wait for the trail game which I hope they put out way before they put the figures out for sale to give us time to see if we like it without the figures selling out. It reminds me of old fashion fable books.
The soccer raccoon would be a nice present for someone I know who live Soccer,
but unless in the $2-$7 range, I see a very limited market.
Several stores sell resin collectibles around that range.
Time will tell.
I just wish they had made a frog or toad in the first series. I may give it a try. It would be nice to start a game on the ground floor so to speak.
If only frogs had tails, lol. I don't expect that I will see a penguin either, which is how I got into Webkinz since I received one as a gift. I will definitely try it, but the article made it sound like you need multiple figures to be able to learn multiple skills, so the price of the figures will be a factor in whether I keep playing it for sure.
