I spent way too long searching for codes last night. I couldn't check them after WW went down at 2 am KT, so I entered them this morning. I have 14 Whirlowisks in my dock. (No trees.) <sigh>

I am glad Samantha is happy, but I am not 27 codes and all recipes. You would think I had solved the recipe after seeing how many I have... but alas, that is not the case. I think someone is trying to tell me to just buy the tree already LOL

Oh, wow! I am sorry you're having so much trouble, Denimbutterfly. I decided to try again, and after 14 recipes last night, my first code of the morning was a tree! One tree is quite enough for me. Whew! (I'd like to get a tree for my little girls, but I don't know if I have that much patience!)

Yes, 1 tree would be quite enough for me as well! Usually I like to get the things for my kids too but my patience is running low. 28 codes still no tree. I am only going to try a few more I think.....

BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT THE FLOATER CONTESTS

When you load up any page on the Webkinz Newz website, there is a chance that you will activate a "floater". This is an icon image that literally "floats" (wanders aimlessly) around the webpage. For the Mystery Magnolia contest, it looks like this:

Click the image to open in full size.

Note that it will never float OFF your screen, it will always stay on the part of the webpage that you can see. Even if you scroll up or down the page, the floater will stay in your vision. It will also never go away.

If you find one of these, CLICK ON IT! A new window with a fill-out form will pop up. The form looks like this:

Click the image to open in full size.

As you can see, you will have to acknowledge having read the contest rules; give an email address (this is where the feature code will be emailed); answer the skill-testing question (so far I've only seen the same math question and the answer is 1); type in the letters and numbers you see in the verification image; and submit the form. [notranslate]Ganz[/notranslate] will then send a feature code to the email you specified in the form.

If you DON'T see a floating image, and your page has completely loaded up (seriously, wait for the little "I'm still loading" animation on your browser to COMPLETELY stop), refresh the page and try again. It might take a whole big bunch of tries before you find one.

You can find the floater more than once, but you will have to use a different email address every time if you want more codes. And you probably will want more codes, because not all of the feature codes you get as prizes are for the Mystery Magnolia saplings - they might also be for the Whirlawisk, which is a recipe food (Megastove, unsolved). I've been quite lucky - out of the three codes I've entered so far, I got two saplings and one Whirlawisk - but other people have been getting Whirlawisk after Whirlawisk. If you run out of email addresses, you can always use free email services like Gmail to make new ones.

If, however, you want to send the codes to WI instead for them to use as contest prizes, you can use any email address that ends with "@webkinzinsider.com". I personally like to use "Jackal1@webkinzinsider.com", "Jackal2@webkinzinsider.com", and so-on. That way it helps me keep track of what email addresses I've already used (since the contest doesn't allow the same email address more than once), and the WI folks can tell who it came from. Note that YOU CANNOT KINZPOST A SAPLING OR A CARING VALLEY TREE once you have already entered the code on your account. So there's no sense entering the feature code and then trying to send it to a WI user; you won't be able to.

HTH!

I've cleared my cache, and pushed the refresh button, use fire fox, allow pop up for the newz site. Is there anything I'm NOT doing right? I did get one after an hour this morning at 6:30 and nothing since then. Thanks for any help. (I want a tree! Not food!)
