Hmm, if I was a 7 year old little girl, that commercial would not waver me one bit towards Webkinz. Just like when the Shining Star commercials and those Beanie Baby online things were on TV... catchy, but the thought didn't even think to think of being pulled up in my mind to ask mom for one. And this was when I WAS seven or eight. The commercial is quite childish and to me isn't going to attract many cutsomers... and commercials cost THOUSANDS of dollars to air soo... good job GANZ!!! Your burning your own money, kuddos to you on the smart business action! Hish pitched, corny acting girls talking about how 'great' webkinz is. Why not advertise some of your glitches while your at it? It'll probably attract the same ammount of customers.
I've sorta got mixed feelings on it....
On one hand, I think is should attract a new younger crowd, bringing Ganz the $$$ they need, so hopefully they can fix these glitches and stop with all the third party ads. ---Which would make me happy.
But on the other hand, I always thought it was so cool that Webkinz never needed to have cheesy-cute commercials to keep it popular.... Well, those days are over. Here is hoping they don't go nuts with it....
I guess it was about time. The commercial does advertise for quite a few cute things, like the Strawberry Cloud Leopard PSI, and shows enough of WW to adequately show what people are getting with their pet.
