I received the email - with 2 elephant charms, 2 night and day beds and 2 larger garden waterfalls. Looks I made a purchase in August. I'm not sure of the date, but have previously purchased all 3 items. Guess I will wait until we know for sure if they are legit!

I received the e-mail yesterday and wondered what was up. They have doubled what I ordered months ago. The first thing I did was check my credit card account and found I had not been charged - yet. Don't feel it's right benefiting from someone else's mistake so I'm not going to use them unless Ganz says, "Here's something free for our mistake!" Not holding my breath waiting for that.

Me too. However, I was thinking that IF Ganz gives them to us I would, in turn, give them to my friends who do not have them. Spread the wealth so to speak.

You can add me to the list. I was confused and wrote back saying I hadn't ordered these. I was worried about my credit card, so I'm glad they haven't charged against it.

I too received 2 black lab codes 2 b&w cat codes 2 elephant codes and 2 chihuahua codes. I remember at the time of the order I had paid for all 4 of them and only got the codes for the latter of the 4. So I e-mailed them and they only charged me for the 3 even though i really wanted all 4. So I e-mailed them again and then they sent me the code for the black lab and charged me the $1.50 for it. So I wonder if they finally put a fix in for it and it ended up being a glitch?

I only purchase online pets at the E-Store and I never got an e-mail on that. Strange?

I went back and checked the date of my order and it was August 2, 2008 which seems to be the common thread. So, I'm guessing, that unless you ordered something on that date you won't get an e-mail.

August 2 was the date from the order on mine, too. Interesting thing though...I checked the original order from within the estor and all of the new codes were on it that were sent in the email. Everything I had ordered had been doubled. It's not just in the emails. It's in the estore order history for that day, too.

Obviously, none of you have been through even minor identity theft! I happened to be doing email at 5:05 pm CDT yesterday when I got my email alledging purchases from Ganz that I had not made: I immediately (a) emailed Ganz telling them what had happened and that I would send them the codes to track whoever entered them, (b) cancelled the only credit card that I use on the Ganz site, (c) changed all of my passwords, (d) emailed a WI administrator, and (e) called my sister. At that point I discovered that she and my niece had also gotten similar messages.

I hope I was just overreacting, but identity theft (even if quickly caught so you don't get charged for the goods) is a major pain, and I don't think I'll be using the E-store any time again soon. We all know that Ganz has trouble with its servers, but, if the company can't manage a site that absolutely has to be 100 percent secure, NO ONE should make online purchases from them!
