This is my opinion:
At first I was like, "Oh cool!" I was thinking that you could buy pets and items with kinzcash. Once I got there....I'm not willing to pay $9.00 for a VIRTUAL item. Right now, I could go out and buy a lil' kinz for that price and guess what?!.. I get the stuffed animal, the virtual pet, some virtual food, a PSI, an exclusive AND a surprise box, where as spending $9.00 in the estore you get a single item. I MIGHT think of buying a virtual PET for $12.00 or so, if they sell them, but a virtual ITEM is INSANE. How many children have the money to buy virtual items, and for what? To set them in a VIRTUAL room and watch it all day?? And then when children CAN'T buy it, they get upset because they really wanted that rocket ship bed. Then their parents feel pressured to buy it. I will NOT be supporting the sale of virtual items. I think GANZ has pushed it too much, gone over the top. Just another scheme to make money. Because when I step back and take a good look, think of what you could buy with $9.00, think.
Okay...this is crazy...now we are going to buy stuff that honestly doesn't exist! We are sick to even think about it...really. Part of me is....COOL STUFF....but the logical part is screaming "don't throw away hard earned money on items that are NOT real and give GANZ more profits". But in reality....if the site will ever work for me, I will probably buy a few codes of nothing....so that eventually I will loose the money, like gambling, and have nothing to show for it...not even a stuffed toy or trinket. What is my problem???? Anyone, anyone?
I was really hoping this was stuff we could buy with kinzcash...even at a higher kinzcash cost.....I'm thinking the more of us that don't go there and buy it, maybe they will see the folly and go a different route....
I have noticed that they have a statement on there about not being able to get pets or any other stuff like that YET. As this takes off, and it will, they will probably be adding virtual pet codes and item codes as well. I think to start off with a 'core stock' and do a feasibility study on it is a wise idea. I also think there will be ways to pay, outside of charge cards, like paypal in the near future as well. IMVU started off very much like this and now they accept paypal payments as well. I think it is a huge undertaking on their part and is not without it's merits. I would like to see them put trading cards codes in so that we can complete our collections without having to buy so many packages. I have gotten to the point where it seems to be a fruitless endeavor to acquire more cards when it yields nothing but duplicates and those last two cards are impossible to acquire. I would gladly pay a nominal fee to complete my collection. Not an outrageous fee (like the amount of a carton of cards) but a reasonable amount.
I think it is crazy. Yes, I think the things are neat. But who and their right mind would buy virual items for real money. CRAZY!!! Just my opinion. I am not even going to show my son because he is going to want to spend his own money on it and I don't think it is worth it. They just need to make it webkinz money. I would pay $10000 kc for the thing. but not $9.00 real money.
I think it's cool and would love to buy stuff, but I'm NOT willing to spend the real money for virtual items. If they were cheaper I would though. But on the other hand most people spend money to upload/download a song of the internet and have nothing to show for it either. You don't have a CD in hand, like this you don't have a toy or critter in hand. To me the only difference is the $$$$$. You can at least download a song for $.99. These virtual prices need to come down.
I wonder what they will charge for the wolf. Why should I pay full price and not get a stuffed one with it.
Why should we pay real money for virtual items? I personally thought Ganz was against this when they made the rule that didn't allow you to trade real items with virtual items. I guess I was wrong... I'm really disappointed by this.
