ROUND ARMOR, round metal, or cookie cutter like, but "NOT a cookie cutter"!

The third item is Sir Galahippo's armor! I am more certain of it now than ever. OUR TINMAN!

I am still thinking that exact same thing. I am in total agreeance of the clues linking to a scarecrow, a lion and a tinman. I think that is why I keep leaning to Dex Dangerous as a definite location of a missing curio. OUR LION

Still trying to figure out what all of this means. But this is what I have come up with at the moment.

I am still racking my brain trying to figure eveerything out. I can't wait for more clues!
I'm with you on this, kurber. I think the "Hey diddle diddle" clue and the Lunar Lugbotz clues are both leading us to the Moon Lamp/sweet dreams concept. As that refers to the Wizard of Oz, the whole story was a dream of Dorothy's, right? Well, the Dream-O-Meter Bed description is "The ultimate bed to capture the dreams of a restless scientific mind". This relates to the story, because she was in bed and the story itself "captured the dreams of a restless" Dorothy's mind. It's a little reach, but I'm trying to relate clue 1 to the Wizard of Oz apart from the Lion concept.

What do ya' think?

I think that you are right on the money with Sir Gala Hippo's Armor and the correlation of the Tinman, but I am still kind of iffy on the moon lamp. It says that the Lugbots have the moon...lamp. Not the moon lamp. I wonder if it runs a little deeper. Webkinzmomma made a reference to lug being the equivalent of a screw. Maybe the 'lamp' is a screwy lamp, that is a Curio item where the moon lamp isn't.
The Crown of Wonder is a very viable possibility because it is the only thing that looks like a cookie cutter but isn't. While it is not an item available at the Curio shop, that is the only place where it can be obtained. The Gem of the day is a Corona Topaz, defined as a 'Halo' and also another name for a crown. This can only be found in the Barking Mad Mine.

We got three new clues today!!
(Not the official clues, but hidden in Webkinz World clues.)

Emerald Polka-Dot Rain Boots
Newz Flash
Todays Quizzy's Question of the day

NEW summary for those of you who don't want to read this whole thread.

Clues

Ask the cat...or the little laughing dog. One thing is for sure - you should make some space to find it.
(This first clue led to a discussion about the nursery rhyme "Hey diddle diddle, the cat and the fiddle, the cow jumped over the moon. The little dog laughed to see such sport, and the dish ran away with the spoon.", Ms. Cowoline as a suspect, the Moon lamp, the Space Poster, and discussions about making "space" on the calendar or your dock. Subsequent "Hikory dikory dock" discussions followed. Additional new ideas include references to the polka dot pj's shirt and the regal reef fridge as well as the possibility of the Lunar Lugbots game for the Space clue.)

Racking your brain? It is quite LABorious but you are sure to figure it out.
(This second clue led to discussions about Goober's Laboratory, Goober, Booger and his headaches and "figures", Laborador retrievers, and the Thoughtful Think Tank. New ideas include the Ultimate Experiment Station and references to the scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz)

Mamma mia! Even Mama says that is not a cookie cutter!
(This clue points to Chef Gazpacho and the Mamma mia part of the clue shows up in the Simply Delicious cookbook under the french toast recipe. Some have suggested he may have stolen the Master Grill or that a recipe may be involved in the solution to the hunt. New ideas suggest the Chef's challenge as the location of the third missing item and related the comment "that is not a cookie cutter" to the TinMan from Wizard of Oz.)

Possible 4th and 5th clues
You could be sad; you might feel mad... but just sparkle brightly and be glad.
(This is where all the ruby slipper discussions start. New ideas suggest these as one of the items needed to get Arte's curios back.)

Ms. Cowline says - Do not forget to polka dot your eyes and cross your T's.
(Reference to polka dot rainboots and Ms. Cowoline as a suspect. New ideas suggest the rainboots might be necessary with all the bottled water being used to get the items back.)

Newspaper Instructions/Clues

Here's where we get the questions we are supposed to answer.
Click the image to open in full size.

The next newz flash pointed to giveaways as possible clues. And we haven't figured out the new newz flash, so I'm sure we're missing something here! Some ideas referred to things well-known Webkinz commonly say.
Click the image to open in full size.

The next one was referred to in the newspaper on January 11th. "Air of Mystery". Some people have read it and found reference to Doug and Arte. The story follows Doug's journey to find an island on which he discovers unicorns. No new ideas on this, but the "AIR" could refer to that in a Hot AIR Balloon and the story could be loosly related to the magical land of Oz.

Some items are being given away over the next few days on the Today's Activities Page. This information can be found on Kinzfanz.com website. Webkinzmomma was the first to report on it. Note the new description on the yellow raincoat and the bottled water. Note the EMERALD Polka-Dot Rain Boots.

A clue was discovered when the free food items were examined together:

Calendar clues

1. Wizard of Oz reference (Scarecrow, brain, ruby slippers, water, etc.)
2. In the curio shop the Knight Of the Round Armor descriptions states that ... it was rumored to have been worn by Sir Gallahippo himslef, this Suit of Armor will scare off the sneakiest serf.
Also, he's a knight of the ROUND ARMOR not round table. Round armor implies round metal cookie cutter, but the armor is "not a cookie cutter", hah!
3. Lunar Lugbotz game related to Dex Dangerous (Lion) and the moon lamp (clue 1)

Click the image to open in full size.

Cat and Laughing dog with Hot Air Balloon and or Lion (Clue # 1 reference)

Click the image to open in full size.

Possible Missing Items:
Note the description on the Ultimate Experiment Station, "Beakers and test tubes and brains, oh my!"
Dream-O-Meter bed referenced "sweet dreams" idea
Hot Air Balloon related to Calendar pictures above (Ask the cat and the laughing dog)
Knight of the Round Armor related to TinMan and trivia question 2 above.

Click the image to open in full size.

Wierd clues that don't fit in perfectly with the theory

Click the image to open in full size.

Now, consider the questions:
1. Where is each missing curio? (curio's name and location required)
------Clue 1: Dream-O-Meter Bed - Lunar Lugbotz Game (Lion in space)?
------Clue 2: Ultimate Experiment Station - Goober's Lab (ScareCrow brain reference)?
------Clue 3: Knight Of the Round Armor ? - Chef's Challenge (Tinman reference)?
2. Who took the curios?
------The CROWS
3. Where would you normally find the curio thief/thieves?
------The Pumpkin Patch Protector Game
4. What does Arte need to use to get his curios back? (3 items)
------Bottled Water?
------Ruby Slippers?
------Emerald Polka Dot Rain boots?
------Yellow Raincoat?
------ScareCrow?

** Is the ScareCrow an item needed or does it only relate to the "brain" reference and "CROWS" attacking?
** Can the Rain boots and Raincoat count as one combined item of the three needed to get Arte's curios back?
** Do we need three total items, or three items for each missing curio?

That's the whole theory laid out. See what you can make of it!

I'm of the opinion that each of the items is a Curion Shop Rare. The sum total of the items value should be close to the winnings from the first scavenger hunt, or $10,000 KC. The items I suggested have the following values:

Dream-O-Meter Bed: $4,800
Ultimate Experiment Station: $2,875
Knight of the Round Armor: $2,300

Sum Total: $9,975 (or almost $10,000)

The corona topaz and crown of wonder are not purchasable items, besides the crown has a resale value of only $1,000 KC.

I don't think the item HAS to look like a cookie cutter. It specifically says it is NOT a cookie cutter. It has similar attributes, i.e. it is METAL and ROUND: Round Armor.

It all fits together.

I think there is MORE than three curios missing. The reference in the article says SOME of Arte's curios are missing, later it says that he will need THREE items to get them back, There is no reference to the amount of Curios missing at all.

Oh, I am not dismissing any clue or theory out of hand, not even the far fetched. I am up for a good mystery as much as anyone else. BUT clues lead in different directions, you must admit. As to the Crown of Wonder, it's resale value is 2250, I believe. Here is an Elubin link.

Brilliantly done again! This is such a great reference I already have it bookmarked for future reference. As of now we are seeing eye to eye. Until we get more clues that may lead us in another direction. I am going to call it a night we will see what tomorrow brings.

Of course there isn't. There is a reference to the NUMBER 3 as the number of items to get the curios back. Nonetheless, it references the number 3 from the get go. Remember, I am dead set on the Wizard of Oz theme. NO ONE can deter me from this background concept being the factor that ties it all together. So, that brings us back to the number 3. The three characters with Dorothy (other than Toto) on her journey are the Lion, the Scarecrow, and the Tinman. The next number 3 idea. Now, there have been only 3 official clues released so far. Three used again. It is just another repeating element within the hunt. It came up too often for me to ignore.

But that's just my opinion. I wish I knew the answer for sure.
