What kind of thread is this, you ask?
Well, recently a friend of mine, Indigoseeker, suggested that a bunch of us get together and go run against one another at the quick events in the stadium. It only costs $25 to enter, and counts towards your mayorship status! Well after a few races, I was hooked! Since then my green fox "Kahili" has won over 25 running events, and is working her way into the kitchen and runway.
While running, I always seem to see the same pets doing the same races. Some are fast, and leave Kahili in the dust! I'm curious whether some of these pets belong to WI members, and if so, it would be great to be able to cheer on other peoples' pets!
If you haven't been to the Quick Events at the stadium yet, I highly recommend it! And if you are a regular, I'd love to meet you and your pet! Either, way, feel free to leave a comment if you are "out at the races" and perhaps others can join you and your pet!

"Frequent Fliers!" Pets that we see a lot of, and we'd love to meet! "Bluey" A really fast blue whale.... "Hipp-Tatt" A really fast hippo.... "Speedbump" A really fast poodle.... "Doll" A really fast white terrier.... "Molasses" A really fast bear.... "Penny" A realllllly fast koala....
This January a group of us met up for our first ever Webkinz Insider Flash Mob! What is a Flash Mob, you might ask? Read the spoiler for the full story, and don't forget to check out the pictures on post #4 of this thread! It's about time to start planning for our next one...here are a few ideas that I have, so that everyone can start training their pets for the big day:
"Scary Giant Hamster Flash Mob"-everyone brings a hamster "Sock Monkey Flash Mob" -everyone brings a sock monkey "Springtime Chick Flash Mob" -everyone brings one of the spring-time chicks "Easter Bunny Flash Mob" -everyone brings a bunny to race "What the....? Flash Mob" Perhaps my favorite....there are a few pets who do not move when they race....imagine being a racer and surrounded by pets who aren't moving, and they are all wearing the same thing....here's a list of pets who don't move as they run...see if you can add one to the list, and start training! Caterpillar Swan Pinktastic Peacock Turkey
So get out to the academy, and keep your eyes open for the next flash mob! Remember, each pet has to be at a level 1 in speed, strength and agility to compete! Happy Running!

"Definition - A flash mob is a group of strangers who organize themselves, using electronic media such as cell phones or the Internet, to gather together in a public place, behave in a predetermined manner for a predetermined amount of time, and then quickly disperse. A successful flash mob event depends on the element of surprise. Participants, called mobsters, share news about the time and place for an upcoming event through postings on blogs, e-mail, text messages and other sites."

Join us this Saturday, January 29th at 10:00am Kinztime at the running competition in the Kinzville stadium! Dress your pet in the following outfit, and remember not to enter the race until 10:00 SHARP!!! Imagine being a racer just running away at a leisurly pace, when suddenly from out of nowhere, Kinz of all shapes and sizes start to appear wearing coordinating (and wacky!) outfits! Let us know if you can make it for the first ever WI Flash Mob at the Quick Events! To see a similar event called "Yorkiefest" where we filled the Coral Cove with the same pet....click here!
Here is the outfit to dress your pet in....they are all from the KinzStyle Outlet, so they are available to everyone!
We hope you are able to make it out to the races! Remember, you need to have your pet at level 1 of speed, agility and strength to come out and race... (If your pet can only cook or do beauty, you can participate there as well!)
So let your friends know, and we'll see you at the races on Saturday!!!
UPDATE!!!! Since many of our friends cannot go to the races because they don't have access to the quick-events yet, I'm wondering if anyone wants to turn the "Quick-event Flash Mob" into a "Kinzville Park Flash Mob" afterwards? I'm thinking that at 10:45 Kinztime, we will take the show to the park! You don't have to, but if you would like, that's where I'll be headed! We can decide which rooms to fill at that time

Our first ever quick event flash mob....
...it started as any other day at the race tracks....pets were racing, the breeze was blowing, when suddenly, a cowboy in a haz-mat suit walked up to the start line. The giggle from other pets soon subsided as one after another, more cowboy-haz-mat pets began to enter the races...
I can only imagine what was running through these poor pets' minds as they tried to keep focused on their race...
After a half an hour of hard racing, our pets were ready to walk it off in the park....they were greeted with surprise by some other pets...
One little rabbit wasted no time being surprised with a mob full of animals in haz-mat gear. She quickly started giving commands to the group to follow...

Later we decided to see if vinyl rain gear melts when too close to flame....I don't think we lost anyone though...

What a great idea, Bindi! I admit I love the quick comps. I have tried the trophy ones, but I can't figure out how they score them. My pinto Beauty is my athlete! Since I can't catch snowflakes during running, this week I've been in the beauty contests. But once Winterfest is over, I'll be seeing you during running!

Nope, you don't have to be deluxe to do the comps, else I'd be up a creek! No deluxe here

Thanks for the quick answer - guess I have to take those feeders back to the academy if I ever want to be mayor on them
So I have never done this before - the only time I tried was to get to mayor and just left since no one else was competing but Signachurr would love to try it if you guys ever go in the morning
