So you can say thanks, but they can't tell you you give them rep back.

Of course, it's allowed! Why wouldn't it be, I mean it's a nice thing to do, right? You may thank anyone on this forum for any reason- Whether it be rep, WI Bucks, or a compliment. I'm sure they'll appreciate it.
Well, of course you may! REP points and WI bucks are very nice to recieve, and its also very kind and polite to say thank you to the person who gave it to you. I believe if they give you a REP point, you can send them one back with a comment saying "Thanks for the REP! Here's one for you!" Or just something to say thanks. Hope I helped!
Of course! This is like any other gift you recieve, so common courtesy is to PM or VM the generous donater with a word of thanks. Rep points and WI bucks are pretty valuable, and if someone is kind enough to share these things with you, it would be polite to at least give them a digital "gracias."
