Um.... Dear Justin - I know you have been busy collecting codes but I think you forgot one April Fools joke....

<title>Webkinz Insider - New Webkinz Cheats, Recipes, Free Codes!</title>

Is still on the front page (with or without refreshing or clearing cache)

Justin did this for a reason...

Don't worry, it's only an HTML title and we haven't (and never will) change any of our policies regarding cheats and codes. Those are our core principles!!

Not an April Fools joke. Something Justin did to discourage cheats.

Hmmm it seems to me it will take a new person to WI quite a bit of time to discover all the rules...not sure about this idea..its good to bring new people to this wonderful site...but..hmmmmm

I think this would be effective if this rule is visible immediately and that the why's of not cheating on WW is visible immediately and not something a new person has to hunt for on the site.

Default Webkinz World Cheats and Codes!

This has bothered me for a while, but I don't know why it is that Webkinz Insider has this title on its front page. It makes it look like the site is the type where you would go to cheat and steal from Webkinz World, and I know this site is totally not like that. I just don't know why the site feels like it must misrepresent itself. Is it to get more members? If that is true, won't it attract the wrong kinds of members?

It was done to move cheat sites further down on the Google listing. Don't worry, WI is cheat-free.

Default Why is WI advertising "cheats"?

When Webkinz Insider is opened to the home page, the little tab on the top of the window that names the website says that WI includes cheats! Specifically, when using Firefox, the title box says "Webkinz Insider: Codes, Cheats, and Recipes!" In Internet Explorer, it says, "Webkinz Insider: New Webkinz Cheats, Codes, Recipes!"

This is not the window in the browser where you type in the website URL. It is actually the tab top that names your website and lets you keep track of multiple tabs.

Who gives these website names and descriptions to IE or Firefox? Do we really want to be advertised as a web site that offers cheats? I know WI is very proud and adamant that we do not condone or promote cheats, but rather offer tips and suggestions on how to be a better player. Not how to "beat the system".

Any thoughts?

Thank you, Justin and Cocoabean, for the quick explanation. I understand, now, that you are trying to draw in the type of player who might be looking for cheats, so that they can discover WI and become a member of our community, one that does not encourage cheats, but focuses on becoming a better player.

I like Justin's plan of writing an article on why cheating in WW is not a good idea, and having it pop up on Google when someone searches for cheats. Perhaps we can help nip this cheating idea in the bud before it starts!

Hooray for !!
