Default Answered: why do you go invisible?

why would you want to go on invisible mode? dont you want people to know ur on? i know i don't start a conversation unless they are online. am i missing anything?

I rarely go invisible, I'm usually visible... but I leave the WI page open and leave the computer, and do real life things. Not ignoring anyone, just not there.

So if someone "appears" to be ignoring you, don't jump to conclusions. Be realistic. Maybe they have left their page open, and gone for a walk/supper/insert activity here. No need to get hurt feelings for nothing!

I like my privacy.
Not only can others see when you're on, but also what you're doing.

I think people do that so nobody is following them around the forum.
Hope I helped!

I do it because a lot of times I'll leave a window of WI open on my computer, and I don't want people thinking I'm on when I'm not.

sometimes when I don't have a lot of time, but still want to check on something here I go invisible, just because I don't want my friends to wonder why I am not answering immediately.

I simply don't want them to think I am rude or not interested.

then, when I have time to chat and answer messages I show myself online.

I think there are a lot of different reasons why people go invisible

Same here, sometimes I just log on to check a few things and don't have time to respond to messages. I don't want others to feel like I'm ignoring them...

Default Re: why do you go invisible?

Well there can me many possibilities for this! Some people just like their privacy! It won't hurt to have a little time of your own sometimes right? Another reason is that sometimes, maybe someone has to go to dinner, and they want to leave their WI window on. So they don't want to have their friends think that they are not answering them because he/she dosn't like them,or being rude or anything. There can be soo many possibilities!

Sorry if I got you confused. It was kinda hard to explain! Hope you do understand!

Sometimes people go on invisible mode because they do not
want others to see what threads they are viewing or where they
are posting, ect. They just want their privacy and that is completely
ok. It's their decision to do that and if that is what they wanna do
then they can do it. (:

Some very popular members don't want to get a billion PMs or VMs while they are online. It's like trying to hide yourself. Also, if you are trading, you might not want people to see where. It could cause confusion amongst lil' kinz. It's all about privacy. I think DCTers do it the most. Just saying from what I've seen.
