I have found that once you try something and it doesn't work (most of time because I spell it wrong) none will work after that until you x out of map and get back in. I really only have problems if I add 's to the name or if I spell it wrong or weird. What is your pets name, maybe you spell it different.
Try using words you see in Webkinz. Unfortunately there is no list, but if I use words I see in the W-shop or other places around the website, most of the time that works. Don't use apostrophes or any other symbols. They are always rejected.
:rdr:I have run into the same thing that everyone else is reporting. For the longest time it wouldn't let me name a room (I forget which one) and then suddenly one day that name was acceptable.
I just keep trying every day or so until whatever happens clicks and I get the name I want. But I admit it has forced me to be a little more creative in my room names--I wanted a Winter Wonderland room for my reindeer, Vixen, but wound up with Polar Express!
oh, it's so true. i had a room named bedroom (one of my first rooms) and now that i have more bedrooms i wanted to identify it by renaming it "blue bedroom" and evidently the word "blue" is not allowed.
