I asked my friend who owns a store and sells them this awhile ago, because they are made in China. She said they have not officialy been recalled because everyone would know it. She bought a lead testing kit heself and tested one and it did **NOT** prove positive for lead. If you or any of your parents are concerned about this, the kits are available for a reasonable price. They work not only on Charms, but on anything else you might be worried about..)
Now keep in mind tht's just one person testing one charm, but it did NOT contain lead.
I wouldn't worry about that because if they were recalled it would be on the news and all the stores that sold them would be required to put up posters and stuff. They are made overseas so the problem really could be anything.
