Default Unanswered: What is with WI??

Every time I cllick to go to another page, a message comes up that states IE had blocked a download for here. I used to click the X to make it go away but I have stopped wasting that time. It is a little annoying though. Is there a reason I should okay the download they are saying is available or is it something else. Does anyone know?

I've been getting that all day, and I thought it was just my computer!

"To help protect your security, your web browser blocked this site from downloading files to your computer. Click here for options.."

Is what it says exactly. So.. has WI been downloading stuff onto our comps all along? Cookies or cache? I dont even know what that is! But it's weird and annoying. Yeah I click the x too and it just comes right back up.

I did go to the bottom of the page and changed my view on WI from what it was to the blue choice and the problem went away. Now, I just have to get used to seeing WI in a different way but at least this annoying problem did go away. Justin needs to fix this. We shouldn't have to modify things just to stop a problem like this.

I wonder if it has something to do with an advertisement. I know some people have been having issues with the ads today.

This is happening to me, too! I thought it was just my computer, too! How do I fix this, because it is really frustrating, and I was considering not coming back for a while, because I'm tired of having to keep clicking on the "x", every time a page loads, here on WI! So, how did you say you fixed it? Yes, the mods./admins. need to fix this problem!

Hi there I found this one another thread:

I use Firefox, and I have not come across it. The other solution, which was posted by "Katiepup" is to scroll down to the bottom of the forum, and where it says "Forum Default" choose "Blue Colors."

Default Why is WI trying to download files to my computer?

As I am moving around the forum, I keep getting the following message in ie:

"To help protect your security, Internet Explorer blocked this site from downloading files to your computer. Click here for options..."

I regularly run my virus scanners and adware scanners and they are coming up clean, and I'm not getting this message on any of the other sites that I visit.

Mine did the same thing... If you go to the bottom of the page and change to "Blue colors" It stops...
