I use Gimp, a free program that you can find by Googling "Gimp for Mac." Be sure to look for the right version, though. Some Macs are Tiger, some are Leopard, and some a lower version, so you need to make sure you download one that will work with your computer.

Gimp can be a little bit confusing at first, but if you check out some of the online tutorials, that can be a big help. Good luck!

It's not the type of computer but the version of the operating system you're running (Some OSX versions are nicknamed Leopard or Tiger or Panther etc.)
  • Click on your apple menu in the upper left hand corner of your screen.
  • Click on "About this Mac".
  • The window that pops up will show the Version Number of OSX that you're using. Write that down.

That's what you'll need to know to download the correct software

also, if you have a scanner or a digital camera, the software that came with it may allow you to do some photo editing.
