Default Answered: What does it mean when a pet is retired?

I'm just wondering, I keep seeing them retire fairly new pets, like the latest one, the Ferret, I had one of the first Ferrets on WI, Hummus, and was wondering, what does it mean?
Does it mean they don't ship them to stores anymore? stop producing them in general? take them from stores if there are still some left?
I don't think it's fair new pets keep getting retired

I think it means that Ganz doesn't make them anymore. And the stores sell what they have left and don't get any more. I have noticed that some seem to retired way too soon. By the way I like your bird collection.
