This is the second time in a week that I have tried to do jobs before school and Webkinz is down for server upgrades. I thought we had seen the end of this when they announced that they will no longer be down for maintenance!
If you don't get a job done in the morning before school, you can only do one job a day instead of two, so the timing here is terrible!
I was all logged in and ready to start - if it had gone down while I was doing the job, we would have lost the job - and we all know 2 losses in a row takes you down a level! If you can't know WHEN the servers will go down, how is that better??
Was the old way with scheduled downtimes better for others as well? I wonder if we need to let them know this?
These unscheduled down times happened in the past too.
And yep, we lost jobs & other activities.
It would be so much better if they let you call/write & get credit.
It could be so simple to track - be an automatic thing, actually,
but they decided not to program that in on all items; yet some do.
What they should do is not charge daily activities until the final "score"
is sent to their server & the items "awarded".
The star hunt & wishing well work that way - if you are interrupted you
can pick up where you left off.
Consistency would make this system so much better-nd this way would
be easier for youngsters to feel is fair.
I hate have to go through the "yes, it is rotten; yes, it is unfair" routine
each time something happens.
The thing that is getting the most complaints here is when jumbleberry
is interrupted - one click to play & you are charged, even if it never loads.
Then the claw - which barely makes a pickup in time for a slow machine/
connection [I saw the other day fast connection actually have a chance to go
back a second time & get & drop & have time left over - so unfair];
that could be more fairly treated using the time it takes a movement to
be made on the users machine.
So much they could improve.
Oh well, thanks for my daily vent.
