I have actually had other things become stuck when they came to my house to unstick something. I was so depressed after the second time this happened that I just let the new stuck items sit there. Still there, stuck. Maybe it's time to write another 'stuck item' letter.
One of the stuck items is a plant in my garden. Really don't want to replant the whole thing for 1 plant.
Also they like to pull all of the items from all of your rooms if they are the same as the stuck one. I had a stuck cash cow trophy in a room. When I came back on I had 5 trophies in my dock. Had to go around and relace them all !
I've never had this happen to me before, but then again, I've only had a stuck item removed once or twice, and only when I've had no or a non active garden.
I'm sorry about the glitch. Hope that everything works out well
"I know! Let's send them KinzPost mail, but program it so that they CAN'T OPEN it!! That'll win me the free latte at the employee cafeteria for SURE!! "
Lol, But don't forget the genius who thought of putting a permanent pink bow on the terrier just to torment the poor little boys who adopt one. . . .Must be the same one who decided that it was a good idea to program items so they only go in a certain kind of room, or took away the room naming option. Now that has really made webkinz better for sure! I still agree with , Run for your lives, they are going to fix something!, lol.
You really are taking this well--seeing the humor in it! I'm glad you got a great person the second time. I think we pay very little for the service we get from Ganz--the site is really tremendous, and now they do have manned customer service phones during business hours. This is a great improvement I think. Perhaps they do have some new people who don't know everything there is to know yet. Personally, the two times I have called Ganz, I did get a call back (it was when you had to leave a message and wait) from a very nice service rep. I felt like Ganz was striving to have helpful people in those positions. I can't conceive that their reps would laugh at us or try to make children cry. I do think they haven't always realized the ramifications of some of their programming--but that's designers and programmers, not service reps.
They did clear all of my orchid plants from my whole account, and all of my cash cow trophies, when I got those two items unstuck. If that's what it took, I was happy to have the items fixed. I'm still amazed at everything we can do, both in the WW site and here at WI.
Thanks for sharing your sad tale with us. It's a shame you lost the growth on your crops, as well as the time to replant everything.
What I've heard, is that you should leave some space open in a room, in case a newly adopted pet gets landed there--it will get stuck if you don't have open space. I don't think it has to be a lot though. I've left two walkways thru all my gardens. Still room for lotsa plants! More than I care to weed & harvest some days, LOL!
I agree katrinas, every time I have had to call Ganz about a problem, the customer service rep has been very polite and helpful. I think without the humour here on WI about the glitches, the enjoyment of Webkinz would be greatly reduced. Many times I have been ready to quit playing webkinz due to frustration. But now I realize I can count on the great people here on WI to make it all more bearable. I love playing webkinz with my kids, and I hope Ganz continues to improve webkinz so we all can enjoy them for a long time.
