Default Answered: Webkinz in the Pool??

Hey Insiders!

I was on YouTube and saw videos of people in the pool with their Webkinz....I was wondering if any of you have tried this? Or if you have machine washed your webbies?

I saw that vid too. xD
Its not a good idea if the pool has chlorine. The chlorine would make the Webkinz start to smell and, like the post above me stated, turn yucky. It wouldn't be fun to cuddle or play with anymore.

But I machine washed my Webkinz Basset Hound and he was fine- the long hair just tangled a little bit but you could comb it out. Just be gentle.
I also washed my Webkinz Yellow Lab, and he was fine, too. The ones with hair like the yellow lab are the easiest to wash.
Just if you do machine wash your kinz, make sure the washing machine is on fragile, or gentle.

You could but your kinz in just a freshwater tub, but nothing with chlorine.

I wouldn't do that. It might not cause permanent damage and it might go okay, but the pets will slowly become yucky from water and chlorine.

I washed one of my webbies before. It turned out pretty ok. Well actually my little sis did it and I didn't notice when I pushed start and closed the door. Oh well i just didn't dry it because I was afraid it might shrink or do something weird.

But if you are going to put one in the pool you could just stick them in one of those big ziplock bags so it would be waterproof because the clorine might mess up the fur.

My sister once took my webkinz and through it in a pool after that I just washed and it was fun I actually had fun with that webkinz in the pool. Sadly as apn32084 said the clorine did mess up the fur but you know it happens.

I always machine-wash my Husky webkinz. You can put it on a flutter/kickboard,stick in a ziploc bag or just don't put it in at all.

I have never used my Webkinz in the pool.
I have washed and dried them like normal and it worked fantastic!
If you have the Webkinz with the plastic whiskers just watch them close if you use the drier so they don't melt or anything, but like I say mine turned out great!

I've washed 2 of my webkinz before and it worked GREAT! Don't put them in a chlorine pool because they can get moldy. D: I don't think you want that! You can either put them in a salt water pool or a freshwater tub. That's okay.
