Question Unanswered: WI freezing while trying to access it virus warnings

I was wondering, has anyone else had trouble accessing WI lately ?

I have been having a hard time getting WI to load and It has been freezing up and I am getting a virus warning then the IE box comes up to end non responsive program ...etc.

It has me wondering if there is a bug here on WI. I have my browser set to WI's forum page.

I have never had these problems before.

Anyone else ?

I never use IE because it often seems to do unnerving things like that. Firefox is less virus prone, I think. Plus, it has a great name!

I don't know what an IE box is, but I have gotten virus/spyware warnings. Also WI seems to be running slow on my computer since about christmas. The last part could be my fault since I never clean out the cookies folder.

mmmm.... cookies

I work for a software company and I have noticed that many of the ads by Google have viruses or trojan horses in them. The reason I point out the ads are the culprits (and is NOT WI) is that the software I am running can identify the source of the attack on the page and it isolates it immeadiatly. I would strongly recommend not clicking on the ads and running a good antivirus filter. I won't plug my own company here, but if you have questions you can PM me and i can give you some recommendations on playing safe.

I had an idea, and I don't know if it will be effective or not, but we can try it. I've heard from many people, just like Jenifer said about, that the ads are what is creating the problem. I've noticed that the blue colors skin does not have nearly as many ads. The only problem is that when you are on blue colors is that you can not access profile messages.
