The traffic has DEFINITELY increassed, especially with the weather being so cold, a lot of people are staying home and there is an opportunity to get on and 'earn'a little KC to get the Christmas theme
Along with the increase in traffic we are seeing a decrease in server accessibility.
This is the way it will be until probably a couple of days after Christmas. If you are going on Webkinz Christmas Day you will notice a serious lag and a possibility that you may have to try the log-in at least 3 times to get online. It is probably their busiest day. New adoptions, new accounts, gift in the dock...it will be an exercise in patience, for sure.
For now, the decrease is many more children home, weekend and residual lag from a maintenance that was not thoroughly done. Thursday's maintenence was done in a rush to put in the new items and that is all. We will likely see, yet another maintenance Monday.
Mine is slow too..it is not complaining on most people's part, but just wanting to be sure it is not just me that is sittingt company. here. Just want company. I can't imagine what it takes to keep all of us "webbies" happy. Merry Christmas!
I waited with "please wait" at the bottom of my computer screen for over 20 mins. to try and get the swan bed that was at the Curio Shop. I never got the bed because I could not move through the website. I tried logging out and logging back in but that did not work. I already cleared my cache and my computer works great on other websites, include pet shop and epets. My kids are so VERY frustrated with the website delays that they rarely play anymore. The site is worse during the times that my kids can play such as evening and weekends. When is GANZ going to fix this problem? Did you know that the Asian accounts don't have this problem? This horrible website service is only a problem in the U.S. and Canada. It seems that the website became slower when the new things were added to the Charm Forest, which is now called Magic Forest. Last year at Christmas, the website crashed. Will it crash again this year? We might not know because my kids are so frustrated that they probably won't want the webkinzs that I bought them for Christmas! Not to mention the many Webkinzs that I bought as gifts for other children. I'm considering buying other gifts, like Pet Shop, instead so that the kids can enjoy and have fun with their pets instead of reading "please wait" all day!!
Ganz is obviously aware of this problem so why have they not fixed it? Why haven't they made some kind of statement explaining the problem and when we can expect better service? It appears that Ganz does not care what kinds of problems we are having with their website when people are still buying their products and accounts outside of the U.S. are working just fine.
