Exclamation Answered: Washing Webkinz Help

I am wondering how do you wash Webkinz pets that have fur like a Himalayan,Yorkie,Mountain Goat,Old English Sheepdog etc. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Ok. I've had to wash the clydesdale for my daughter before. She threw up on it. You put it in a pillowcase. Wash on Gentle cycle or handwash if your machine has it. Put in a little less detergent than what is required for a small load. Don't wash ANYTHING else with it. Don't put it in the dryer let it air dry inside the house. I did this. Daisy our Clydesdale came out just like new. We did have to take a wide tooth comb to brush her mane and tale out, but she looks great!!!:abn:

Well it's just that over time my pet collected a lot of dust and dirt and it's fur is a mess.

Never, ever, EVER put a Webkinz in the wash!! I speak from bad experiences!! They can't dry thoroughly and may mildew. PARTICULARLY the Kinz with fur like a Persian Cat or Himalayan.
Take a damp washcloth, put a tiny bit of soap on it if you need, and gently try to scrub out whatever it is. Leave out the soap whenever possible. If it's something like mud, wait for it dry and use a dry washcloth or brush to get it out. It works, even if yo0u hate to see mud on your pet. Hope this helps.
