Thank you. It's the full meaning of "contact" that has continued to confuse me, because I cannot find a list on my profile page that is titled Contacts. I think you have cleared that up for me. You seem to be using Friend List and Contact List interchangeably. Is the following correct?

Really, there's nothing extra that you get out of adding someone on your friends list, it just makes them on your contacts list, and I guess that makes it easier to find them to PM them, or leave them a message than finding them in the forum and then clicking on their username.
The thing is once you get into like the 100's on your friend list.. it gets a bit difficult to find people. LOL.
If you don't want to add someone simply just ignore the friend request by selecting the box saying to ignore the friend request.
Hope I could be of help!
There is no actual list titled Contacts. All names are added to the Friends list. You can add people to the list just for the convenience of finding them easily. If no friendship has been requested, or if the friendship has not yet been accepted, that person's friend box is unchecked, and the person is understood (without any label) to be a contact.
By George! I think I've [finally] got it!
