Default Unanswered: Unable to do quickdraws, some wheel events

Hi all,

Have an issue with my lovely wife's account that I have been unable to help her with. For some reason, she can't do any quick draws on hourly (or daily) events, or the super wheel, the wheel of yum, or the wheel of deluxe (though, strangely enough, she CAN do the wheel of WOW...)

Here is what I DO know...

- It's not a server issue. My laptop and the other computers in the house have no problems, testing from multiple locations from different connection points - it's always just her computer, and just these events.

- It's not (to the best of my knowledge) a Java or IE issue. IE, Windows, and Java are all fully updated and functioning normally on her computer.

- It's not an issue that can be solved by clearing the cache - I've tried this repeatedly. I'm going to say this again, because I'm betting at least one response will suggest clearing the cache - we've tried this, and sadly, it didn't work... :p

I'm kinda out of ideas after this, though. There appear to be no other issues, she can still get to all other areas of webkinz world - so it's very specific to her computer, and those events, but it doesn't appear to be any of the usual suspects. Anyone else have any ideas I might try before I send her to Ganz customer service?

Thanks for looking - I'd appreciate any help I can get!

Very kind of you to help out your wife. I am experiencing similar difficulties on my laptop (I am using a Macbook Air if it is any help to you). I never had any of these problems on my Dell Inspiron (which is currently needing repair) or any of the other Macs in my house, so I suppose it is a computer based problem. Unfortunately I have yet to resolve the issue so I usually play Webkinz on another computer and reserve this laptop for Webkinz Insider related use. Here are some suggestions, but I do not guarantee that they will work:

- You can try switching browsers. Ganz has said that Webkinz works best on Firefox, and a lot of people also find that Google Chrome works well too.

- Try using Webkinz from another website, such as this one:
Wally's Web (Webkinz with Scrollbars)

- Put Webkinz on your list of 'trusted' sites. Though this is very likely not your problem, Ganz always recommends it so I feel it doesn't hurt to recommend it to you as well.

If you continue having problems it's best to contact Ganz. They no longer use email so for a faster response try calling them at 1-866-WEBKINZ (1-866-932-5469). Good luck.

I have heard that IE is terrible with WW. A lot of people complain about WW not working well with it or not at all.

I use Firefox and have NOT ever had a problem with it. Also Chrome is a wonderful option that I have heard good things about.

Since you mentioned that you have tried all of other problem causing culprits............I would try another server.

I have had those exact same problems. Called Ganz several times, but all they said is "We're working on it."

I changed to Google Chrome and everything works fine, but it doesn't seem right that WW won't work on IE.

Good Luck!
