Default Answered: UK Lady Needs Some Help

Hi All

Im Nikki from the UK and I am new to all this so please bear with me. I found these beuatiful little toys off ebay and decided I wouldnt mind promoting them over in the new UK from my website not having much success as nobody has heard of them and getting hardly any traffic to my website. Does anyone know if these adorable pets are coming to the UK or is there not any plans for them yet????

Ihave ordered one just for myself now to have a play with online and counting down the days they just look so good.

Ganz started the E Store pets mostly for overseas (non-North-American, Ganz is a Canadian company) customers. Anyone, anywhere in the world, can access WW and WI and use the sites. But Ganz doesn't have a good distribution for overseas product. Not sure if they have sales agents working to place items overseas at all--the E Store may be their answer to it. Ganz started by just offering the online, virtual pets to non-North American customers.

The UK would be a natural for expansion of Ganz products, as people speak English and can readily use the site. And from my personal experience, the British, Welsh, and Scottish people are great animal lovers. We are in the cat fancy, which had its roots in England. We travel to the UK 2-3 times a year to judge cat shows, so we know this well.

They are starting some kind of trial usage of the Webkinz site, for people to see if they like it before buying a plushie or E Store virtual pet. This might help expand usage to potential customers for your Webbies...give them the code to get on, then let them come back to buy. Good luck!

I think you could try visiting the Ganz website and seeing if it will let you sign on for a trial membership...by code I was thinking of the website address...if you don't see how to do it, why not call customer service at Ganz? In the US, the number is 1-866-932-5469. They might be able to tell you if they have marketing plans for the UK as well as how to do the trial membership thing if it's set up now.

BTW, I gave you a "rep" point, for trying to promote Webkinz! If you don't know what that is, there is a "blue sticky" on one of the sections here talking about it...you click on the thumb, below the persons stats and avatar box on their post, and it gives you a simple box to fill out to award a "reputation point" to another member. If you want to view your last 10-12 rep points, click on your User CP and it will be there. You'll find "User CP" on the far left of the tool bar, under the house. Once you get around a hundred rep points, you'll get a second green bar on your avatar/stat box. Then, it's supposed to be around every 50 rep points after that, you get another bar. No one knows exactly...Justin, the Founder hands them out...it's left vague so people don't get focused on numbers but helpful people can still be recognized in this way. At least, that's how I understand it.

I'm from Wales which is a country in the UK and believe me I really hope so! There are Webkinz in the UK but they're very poor selections. Nothing new or fancy.
