Exclamation Unanswered: trying to become a gift trainee, STILL

I am very, very, confused. I posted another thread saying that I wanted to become gifted, and as people on WI are, everyone was very helpful. However, I tried everything, and I am still not a gift trainee. How long does it take? What is a non-fluff post? I NEED ANSWERS!!!!!

One of our wonderful moderators, Gingerly, posted this thread that explains what kinds of posts the mods look at when considering someone to be a Gift Trainee. The mods are extremely busy and there is a limited number of Gift coaches and tons of people that apply each day, so sometimes it does take a while to become gifted. It took me 2 weeks when I applied. Check to see if your agreement is still posted, that is a good sign that the mods have not gotten around to your post yet. Here is the link to Gingerly's guide. Good luck

A non-fluff post means saying something that is useful.

Saying " I like PIE!" or "Im bored, lalalala" on a thread would be considered a fluff posts.

And it takes as long as the person who decideds that you are ready to become a GT

It takes long enough for the person who decideds that you are ready, thinks that you are reday to become a GT

I had many questions too. To see helpful things to become a GT go to the link above where animegrl posted. When you think you ARE ready to apply for the GT. click this link:

If you apply and your post gets deleted, post more non *fluff* posts. A *fluff* post is a post that isn't useful or helpful. Posts like "HI! How are you?" are considered *fluff* whereas post like "Hi! Welcome to WI! the FAQ

---------- tarsky781 added 5 Minutes and 28 Seconds later ----------

You have to be a member for at least two weeks and have at least 50 non *fluff* posts. *Fluff* posts are post like 'Hi, I'm bored Bye!' or something like that, whereas non *fluff* posts are like,
'Hello and welcome to WI! The FAQ is located under the butterfly...' Posts in the RolePlays section are considered *fluff* posts as well as Help, I Need a Pet Name! posts and Head to the Polls posts. Non *fluff* posts are the posts that are helpful, nice, advising, etc., not bored, random short and useless.

It takes about a week to for them to reply if you've been accepted.
You have to be very paitent.
I got a PM about a week after I applied giving me my next instructions. However, from day one, before I ever knew that there was a GE, I always good, imformative posts.

animegrl posted a link to Gingerly's good post thread. I stongly reccomend reading and following that.
Overall, add details to your posts, dont reply to a question saying ' umm... sure. '. Add details to your answers.

Hope this helps
