Default Answered: Trouble locking in

I'm having this weird problem since yesterday. I noticed it in Jumbleberry fields when I couldn't lock the jars without clicking 10 or so times. Today I have the same thing, but I also did the Academy and I had trouble choosing a class, it wouldn't lock in either until I clicked many times.
Is anyone else having this problem?

Yikes, I think it's my computer...it does the same thing when I click on safety to clear my cache. What could that be?

No, it is not a computer issue. It is a Webkinz World issue. It not only fouls up the Jumbleberry jar lock it also fouls up the Kinzville academy. The spatula flips pancakes when it shouldn't and the cycle through clothes for the style class speeds through the selections It is terribly annoying

Hmm, if it is your computer, my first thought would be that something is wrong with your mouse (or trackpad if you're using a laptop). I'm no computer expert though, I'm sure someone else will see this soon that can help more.

Thanks for answering pinkdiamonds! It seems to be my mouse. Too bad all my old mouses (mice?) don't have the right connector, so I'll have to do without a computer while I get it fixed or replaced.

Have you tried rebooting your computer? Sometimes this will reset the mouse. The other thing to try is shutting down and unplugging the mouse. Give it a through cleaning then plug it back in and turn on your computer.

Too bad about the old mice...

Try restarting the computer or getting a new mouse.

You can buy a wireless mouse that plugs in to the USB for about $20 at Target, Walmart, Meijer, Office Max, Office Depot, etc. I use one for my laptop. Just don't drop it down the stairs, that's how my mom broke my first one!

There is a really easy way to clean your mouse when it starts doing this. Have you tried that yet or do you know how? I can walk you thru the steps, if you like. Also, Katie885 is correct, you can pick up a really good wireless mouse for about $20.
Hugs!

Thanks for the help everyone! I've rebooted the computer (if that means turning it off) and I disconnected and reconnected the mouse. The reconnect worked for about 10 minutes, then it started skipping again.

It's an optical mouse and I cleaned the outside, can I clean the laser part too?

Looks like I'll be heading to the store to get a new mouse. My dh wants to try to get it replaced because it's only about a month old.

you might try making sure there is no dust where the mouse connects (both the cable and the port it plugs into.) we had to do that on our computer once. and if it's only about a month old, it should still be under warranty. go to the manufacturers website to see what you have to do to get it replaced.
