Unanswered: Trojan virus made me unable to go to WI.com
I got a trojan virus on my computer and now I can't get the WWW.webkinzinsider.com on that system. I just keeping getting the error that the page is unavailable, even after the virus was removed. Why can't I get on WI anymore on that system?

if you are useing windows xp/vista you could try a system restore this will roll back any settings that have changed since the piont you choose but wont delete any files you have saved this includes emails, I have found this to help when all else has failed also try running spybot search and destroy this will not only dectec spyware on your system but it will help stop any new spyware getting on there n the first place.
Can you get on other sites? Check firewall settings to make sure it is not being blocked. You should take a look at your HOSTS file and make sure the only setting is 127.0.0.1 localhost (it's a system file so you have to make sure the folder properties allow all files to be shown). You can run the system file checker that compare system files to known good copies by going to the start menu and choose run (xp) or for vista type cmd in the search and hit enter... and for either type in sfc /scannow . There are so many things it can be, Hijackthis is probably the best tool out there and it shows you everything that is loading and many options to fix it automatically. Hijackthis is completely free.

As a side note be very careful with the system restore function as it can actually return you to a state at which your computer was infected. Chose a recovery date that you know with certainty was virus/trojan free. When you are positive that you are completely free of virus/trojans. turn off the system restore and restart, then reenable system restore. This way there is no chance of the bad files showing up later by mistake.

re start your computer in safe mode and then run your virus program again this should kill it off once and for all, if you dont know how to do this its easy just restart your comp and keep pressing "F8" and you will get a prompt screen letting you chose what mode to start windows in select safe mode and this will only load the most basic of windows files.
