Are you familiar with paint programs?

If you select the transparent background and save in .gif format you will have a "clear" background

first you have to go here- LunaPic Online Photo Editor

then at the very top it says animator home, file and then edit.
Hover your mouse over edit. The last option is transparent, click on that,
then just follow the instructions there.

let me know if you need anymore help

I think another way is to go to Tinypic, upload the file, and then click "Edit" on the right hand side, and somewhere there is an option to make it transparent.

I meant LunaPic Sorry about that!

What paint program are you using?

Remember not to Merge or Flatten the image.. that will take away the transparency whenever you save it... Just save in .gif format

In programs like PhotoImpact and PhotoShop... whenever you create a New image, you have the option to have a Transparent background, which ends up looking like grey and white checkered squares in the back, instead of the white default background color....
