Default Answered: Thread won't post.

I was able to post a couple of short messages in the past, but whenever I try to post a thread that has taken a while to write, as soon as I click the Preview Post button or Submit Thread button I get a box that says I have to log in, then I notice that I have been logged out and the message I spent so much time on has disappeared. What am I doing wrong?

If you know it's going to take you awhile to write or work on a long post, try writing it in a Word document first, then copy and paste it into a new post here. You do get logged out after a certain amount of time.

if you are writting a long post then just press ctrl and a in the message box. Then when you click submit then if it gives you an error you can just log in and click new post. then just press ctrl v and your post will be there.

I recommend checking the "remember me" button when you log in, so you'll never have to log in again, and that message won't pop up The reason it does is because it logs you out after a certain period of time because you are inactive. BUT, if other people go on WI on that computer, I wouldn't recommend doing that. You can always type a long thread in Microsoft Word or Notepad and copy and paste it into WI

Thank you all for your helpful ideas. I just successfully posted a thread by typing it in Pages (I have a Mac) first.

In case I forget to do that, I'll try wkwcollecter's suggestion. I think my Mac Command a and v will be the equivalent of the ctrl a and v.
