it isn't you - it is the programming on Ganz' end.
BUT, Katrinasmom makes an excellent point - I've been telling my kids too to stop
being "click-happy" when things don't load right away. Clicking over and over when you see the please-wait message won't help it load faster! (Sort of like pushing the elevator button over and over doesn't make it come faster - just gives you something to do until it comes!)
Some screens are buffered, meaning that they hold all your clicks in "memory" and will go through each click before you can do anything else. Others are NOT buffered, so are not affected, but unless you watch closely, you won't know which ones are/are not. It is best to click once and wait, hard as that can be!
This time around, it isn't a cache-clearing issue.
On another thread, someone said they had talked to a rep at Ganz that said they were having problems with one of their servers. All I could think of was, if they only have two servers for the entire WW, and one is down, no wonder we have so many problems! LOL!
Now, I have no idea how many servers they really have, but one going down should not cause the widespread problems and outages that we are similarly experiencing. They have programming problems too....
I just hope they are actually working on fixing the real problems. I see a lot of cosmetic changes - lots of the animals have different virtual appearances now (and many are not very cute anymore! ), some places have different typesets, things like that. But they need to realize that none of that will matter if they lose customers from the bad function of the website!
I know my daughter has only one more Webbie on her wish list now until/unless things start working a little better.
( On the positive side, we were able to get into the cooking contest last night for the first time since they started it! We didn't win (my daughter entered on her comp and me on mine), but we could see her pet cooking! We normally have never been able to enter no matter when we clicked on the contest... I am guessing maybe lots of people not playing last night! )
So, just keep up the hope for now, don't get tempted to get too click-happy, and see if Ganz will get this straightened out.
