I have a both a Compaq computer and an Apple G4. They both meet the specs given by Ganz to run WW. At a DSL speed of 1 and 2 Mbps the Apple would not work. I went to 6 Mbps and both computers now work. The problem is that the Apple runs more slowly and the pets seem to be moving in slow motion. I would prefer to play on the Apple as the screen is bigger. All other websites and programs run fine and the Apple is generally faster than the PC EXCEPT with WW. Anyone have any ideas? Customer service has not been any help.
I use a Compaq, and when I had an account, it worked perfectly for me. I know you'd prefer to use the Apple, but honestly, I'd just use the Compaq for better quality until you can get it fixed. Sorry I can't help you more, but I'm not very technical. That's what the Geek Squad at Best Buy is for
I have no solution for you, but some activities it's to your advantage to have a slower computer, such as some of the Kinzville Academy classes. So you could just switch between computers, depending on which activity you're doing.
OS 10.4.11; have used Safari and Firefox. Maybe I'll try IE-that is what is on the Compaq.
What ISP speed do you use?
BTW I thought the slower speed would help such thing as catching Zums and Magic Forest Fairies--but the point & click also slows and is very "mushy"--like a car that needs to have it's steering adjusted/tightened up.
I think it might be the version of Adobe you are running. One PC runs faster than the other and they have different versions of adobe. I can't upgrade the slower one or I risk another program not working. You may want to check it out.
