Subscribing to a thread makes it easier for you to see all of the updates on a thread. To subscribe to a thread, go to the top (any page works) and click "Thread Tools." The last one should be "Subscribe to thread."
When you have subscribed threads, its easy to view them all under your CP. It's easy to subscibe.. find several of your threads that you visit often, check "to subscribe" from thread tools. and when you see them under CP, you can tell if the thread will have new posts.. all at once and one spot! HTH!
If you subscribe a thread you can go right to the thread in your subscribed threads and you don't need to find it.
You can subscribe a thread by clicking "Thread Tools" at the top of the thread and click on "Subscribe Thread" and after that click "Add Subscription"... then it will automatically ruturn you to the thread.
You can delete the thread by going to "Subscribed Threads" and click the box and scroll down to the bottom and select "Delete Subscribtion"... but if it's newly posted, you can also go to your "User Control Panel" and click "Unsubscribe".
Hope I helped.
