Default Unanswered: Something I Should Be Worried About?

Okay so whenever I go onto WI, its fine, nothings wrong. But today, starting this morning I logged on to fix my signature, and all of a sudden when I clicked "edit signature" WI closed and this website called jump.com i think its called.. came up! And it was about conserving water god forbid but it did this on my ****** computer, which it NEVER has done before. Ive never had ANY problems with WI before but then it happened a second and third time on the same computer! The window (WI) closing and then jump.com popping up!

But a few minutes ago.. I went to go post a vistor message for someone. When I went to their profile (**THIS WAS ON MY MAC(not the same computer as before(..SO IM KIND OF REALLY SCARED NOW..) an little box popped up saying "your computer is infected with a virus!"! Then, this anti spyware thing came up and I didnt even click anything! It started to download something but I exited it... Also, the box the download came up in was in the format of a PC computer (like that "Control Panel" box on a PC popped up on my Mac and it started downloading this anti spyware thing on there)..

Now.. is it safe for me to go on WI?

What do I do to my computer(s)?

UPDATE: I just checked the Apple website (www.apple.com) and clicked on "Mac", then "Why You'll Love A Mac". Then, I was reading and it says:
Doesn't get PC viruses.
Designed with security in mind, Mac OS X isn’t plagued by constant attacks from PC viruses and malware. Likewise, it won’t slow you down with constant security alerts and sweeps. Every Mac is secure right out of the box, so you can safely go about your work — or play — without interruption.

something very similar happend to me on my pc, it was an old pc and really slow and i have been using that for a long time then all of a sudden the anti spyware thing popped up saying your computer is being attacked from port .. (a bunch of numbers) and it says do u want to block this attack? so i clicked yes and it took me to this sitethat was like really inaporpriate and i got scared cuz it wouldnt go away, my dad took a look at it and idk if he fixed it (i got a laptop for christmas so that is wut i use now) i am so sorry that this happend to u, it could have been from another site but idk, i dont even know what caused it, i hope your computer gets fixed, i will have to let u know if mine gets fixed,

oh and do u have like Norton or some computer protection thing? if u get one of those then if u do alot of scans then it might fix it, I hope this helps.....

Okay, the Anti-Spyware thing IS the virus. I know it sounds crazy, but it is. It's happened to me many times. It tries to "protect" you from the virus and then once it's done, you click on something and it brings you to their website where they try and sell you their Anti-Spyware package. Except on my computer, it happens ALL THE TIME, so my dad has to come and get rid of it. It pops up like every two minutes once it appears for the first time. It's really annoying.

Yeah, Norton scans pretty much EVERYTHING on my computer. It scanned over 200,000 things on my computer. XD

It's possible that you weren't on the real WI.
But I'm not sure.
I have gotten a message where they want you to download an anti-virus to protect your computer from a virus several times while on google. I usually just log off my computer for a few moments. Just don't click it! If you do, it will most likely download a virus on your computer.
