Yes they will. You will be sent an email asking that you mail them the original code, along with proof of purchase, your Username, the Account Holder and a Return Address. They have to investigate what happened so it'll take a while before they send you a new code.
At least, this was my experience. It took about four or five weeks.
Make sure you keep a photocopy of everything before mailing originals, just in case.
I am so sorry that this has happened to you. I believe that Cupcake Joy and Ranger are absolutely right. Make sure you copy all the info and answer all Ganz questions. I find that the customer service reps are usually pretty nice and helpful! Good luck!
This happened to me with a Signature Pet. I sent the email. They sent email back stating I had adopted it with ID blah-blah, which was NOT my ID. I called them. They asked me where I bought it, did I have the tag and just a whole bunch of questions to make sure I was being honest. They gave me a new code over the phone. It is a pain, but it should not be a problem. If you have to call them, just have the tag and store receipt in front of you. They need to keep track of what stores/addresses they have problems with.
