Default Answered: So...They're asking for a Secret Code?

Hey, I know I'm going to sound like a paranoid person here, but see, I have something stuck in my room, and the Customer Support at Webkinz.com asks me to give them my secret code? I know if Webkinz.com asks me for my secret code, it's obviously not going to affect my account being hacked, but I've heard of sites that pose as Webkinz.com.

My main question is... has anyone done this before and is it safe? Thanks in advance for helpful answers!

Yes, I have had many stuck items before. I did not have any problems. If you use the form, you must fill in the Secret Code. They do not take very long to "unstick" your item(s).

Did you mean your password or a secret code to a particular pet? I had something stuck in my room once and I phoned Ganz...I don't remember giving them a code to my pet. (except for a pet related problem I had once)

I don't know...sounds funny to me. I remember having help a few times and not having to even provide my password, though sometimes I have.

Sounds like you're doing an online form though...so I am sure that is different.

good luck with your item!

Thumbs up Re: So...They're asking for a Secret Code?

Yes it is safe from there.
You are very smart to be aware though and not do it immediately.
That's how people get hacked.

Thanks everyone
I did it and it got out of my room! My Trading Cards table which has been stuck for months now is finally in my dock, I'm pretty happy. Now I can actually use the room!
Thanks again!
