Default Answered: Signature Pic questions...all of a sudden too big? And 54 KB exceeds limit of 58.6 KB?

Hi all! I have a couple questions about signature pictures-

I have had the same signature picture since the middle of this April. You probably have seen it (it is Snoopy dancing on a piano as Schroeder plays), and I know that I haven't changed it. The file size is 54 KB. I have been able to use it even when I am not WI2 (I am currently), and have had no troubles with it. Just this afternoon, I was making a signature picture for a friend, and I tested it out in my own signature. When I tried to go back to the Snoopy signature picture, a message popped up saying-
Your file of 54.0 KB bytes exceeds the forum's limit of 58.6 KB for this filetype.

First question-How is the signature pic all of a sudden too big KB -wise? I have, as I said, been using it for a few months now, have never edited the size (it has been in my picture folder on my computer since April 13) and have never had problems until today.

Second question-How does 54 KB exceed the limit of 58.6 KB?

Has anyone had this problem before? Thanks!

You can always ask CoCoabean to resize it. Maybe that would work?

Did you try uploading it to tinypic then putting it into your signature using the link option? If not, I'd try that first, then try uploading it directly from your computer. Other than that, I don't see why it wouldn't work....

Thank you for the swift response-I just tried that and unfortunately, I was not successful. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Have you tried uploading it again, or was it a different picture..?
I'm not really sure what happened - sorry.

Either try reuploading it or go to TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting to resize it a tad more. Hope this helps!

Try removing the other text that you have in your signature. The picture itself might not be too big, but the other text and things you have in your siggy now might make it so there isn't enough room for that picture.

Also, the only way I can upload pictures for my signature is by using the browse button and having the picture on my desktop.

If all else fails, I'm sure a mod would be happy to help you out.

Good luck!

Thank you all. I think I will ask Cocoabean if she can resize it at her shop, and I'll go from there. Thanks again!
