I'm not sure about the macs, but on a laptop there are often numbers on some of the keys on the right hand side, like the K and L. These can normally be accessed using the Function key. So what you need to do is hold down the Function key AND the Alt key while you type the number. I don't have my laptop right now, so I can't be more specific.
There was a really great thread about this. I'll have to see if I can find it.
ohh yes! i have that chart thing on here! silly me! yet i have no idea how to do it on a MAC laptop though, hmmm.... for it has no letters on the right side! i'll check out the link funnyhoney posted! thanks for your help guys!!
Ok well what you have so far is slightly right. You can also go to character map. I find this way easier than Alt+?. Because sometimes the Alt+? doesnt work for me either. So use character map. If your on pc
1. Go to Start Menu
2. All programs(i dont think there is an all programs for anything below windows XP)
3. Go to Accessories
4. Go to system tools
5. Find character map
If you are using a Mac, you can find different characters by using the Key Caps application found under the Apple menu. By pressing various keys, like the Option and Apple keys, Key Caps will show you all the characters contained in a particular font.
I found that on the internet so i dont know if its entirely true.
