Default Answered: Safe to download from cnet.com?

I have been wanting to download Gimp on my computer so that i can start making graphics. However, i have been having issues trying to download it from that actual Gimp website so someone gave me this They said that it is safe and thats where they downloaded it and they haven't have any problems. But before i download it from there i want to make sure that it wont give me any viruses. So, has anyone used that to download Gimp? And is it safe and virus-free?

Anything you download would be at your own risk, but I believe cnet is a trusted source. I have downloaded things from there before.

Gimp is virus free. I have used it for about 3 months, and nothing has attempted to harm my computer.

I don't think it has any viruses, but hey it might. It probably doesn't though, but i would ask an adult before you do it (well maybe not if you are one...)
