Thanks. I was afraid that was the case.

Yes, that must have been the way (s)he did it. If I buy rooms and make a spiral at the beginning, as soon as I adopt additional pets on that account, the sprial will almost certainly be filled in. So I guess I'll just bite the bullet and let the first 10 rooms be random, and start my spiral pattern after that.
I'm sure that eventually I will have a LOT more than 10 pets on my second account.

I haven't seen the room you're talking about but I believe chmoneybags is correct. I think that person adopted one pet and bought other rooms before adopting another pet. That seems like the only way to get a spiral room with just two doors.

Awhile back someone on WI (sorry, I did't get their name) had the sequence of where your first 10 adoption rooms would be placed, that is, if you didn't buy any rooms before then. It went like this (I hope this works):

X | 6 | X
8 | 2 | 7 |
5 | 1 | 3 | 9
X | 4 |10|

By the way, when I started another account, my first ten adoptions were all birds and their rooms followed this sequence. Of course, I got 10 treetop rooms to avoid not getting the medium-size rooms. I didn't think about just adopting one pet and buying rooms so I don't know where Ganz would place the nine adoption rooms.

Thanks. After reading all the posts, I am sure that (s)he must have purchased all of those rooms just to show the pattern.

Thanks. This is very helpful. It's good to know what to expect. I guess I'll just start the sprial after the first 10 rooms.
Adopting birds to get treetop rooms are a great idea for the first 10 pets. Since they don't have walls, the doorways don't detract from the look of the room the way they do in the indoor rooms. In fact, I LIKE the look of the little cloud outside the doorway.
