It doesn't have to be your first pet's code, it can be the code of any pet on that account. I know some people have problems because when it asks for your birthday I think you have to put the date first. If all else fails, you can always try calling Ganz. I hope you get it fixed!
Im so sorry! A few thing to try before contacting Ganz customer service (copied from the Ganz customer service page):
If your pet is stuck in your room, please log out and log back in to your account. If your pet is still stuck, please go to your Webkinz? room and jump to another room. You can jump to another room by using the map button in the upper left corner of the screen. Just click on any room in the map and your pet should jump there. If you have tried this and it has not solved your problem, or if you only have one room, please fill out the form so we can investigate.
