Question Unanswered: Retired Pet of the Month?

Do you think that Ganz would have an already-retired Webkinz as a new pet of the month? I know that the Elephant was retired while it was pet of the month, but that's the only one I'm aware of. I've got a stash of Webkinz that I've been waiting to adopt, just in case they are a future pet of the month, and I'm trying to figure out if that's not a concern for the Webkinz that are already retired (such as the Crocodile or the Toco Toucan).

My theory is that Ganz uses the pet of the month to boost sales, and that's moot for the Webkinz that are already retired (especially those that are already "sold out").

Thanks!

I don't think they would do that cause then they can't boost sales if there aren't a lot left.

Although, I wouldn't put it past them. They've done stranger things.

Im sorry but I highly doubt that a Retired Webkinz will be POTM. I think it was dumb of GANZ to retire those so quickley. I think I know why though. They probably retired them early so that everyone would want one and they would get sold out fast. More profits.

Hope i've helped!

UPDATE!

I just realized you are new. I think you should go to the Hi im joe and i love my webkinz part of our forum and introduce yourself! It's a great way to get welcomed. Welcome to WI!

Yeah I agree with you that POTM is all about boosting sales, so I doubt they'd do a retired Webkinz. Plus, the elephant actually wasn't retired, I don't think, when it was POTM. I think it was retired right AFTER the month was over. I THINK. So yeah, if the Webkinz are retired, I would go ahead & adopt them if I were you. Just my opinion. :]

i think they might do some of the popular retired pets for POTM ... they should have the pet be POTM and then retire the pet. I have a couple pets to enter but i wanted to enter them when they were POTM.
