Default Answered: Referrals?

What are referrals? Are they bad? If they are how do you get referrals? Sorry I just want to be safe and stay away from referrals. P.S what I mean by referrals is when you view somone's public profile and in statistics it says Referrals: and then a number.

A referral is NOT a bad thing.

When you recommend (suggest) something to someone, you are making a referral.
So, if you like this site so much that you suggest to a friend that they join,
and they do, there is a spot on the account signup for them to list your WI name
as the person who referred them.
You get a referral point, which I believe earns you some extra WI Bucks.

In other organizations, referrals can earn you discounts of fees or special perks.
