Default Answered: Receiving gifts via Kinz Post

Hi,

If I send an item from one account to another or from me to my sister, what does it
mean in the Guide "Gifts expire after 30 days". Does this mean the gift, let's say a piece of
furniture, disappears after 30 days? I understand about having 30 days to send the gift
but don't know what that extra line in the guide means "gifts expire".

Thanks very much.

If she doesn't open it, then, the gift will be sent back to you in thirty days from the time you sent it (:

Hope I helped!

If she doesn't open the mail you sent her, after 30 days the item should be returned to you.

It's a precaution Ganz has put in place so people won't lose items to abandoned accounts.

I have found that they don't live hard and fast by that rule. I sent my daughter a gift and it sat in her account for two months. I did not get it back. Things may have changed since then, it was a few weeks back.
I think they just want it out of your dock so that it doesn't take up space, honestly. I also have to wonder about that because they don't follow that rule themselves. I have all of my gifts from Thanksgiving forward still unopened in my dock.

Thank you for the heads up on this subject.
I also have items from Thanksgiving on. The boxes are just so pretty.
I guess I should open them(sigh)

I don't open my holiday gifts either. I hope they don't take them back.

I myself have sent gifts to people who haven't been online in months and nothing returned yet.. I wonder how closely webkinz actually follows this rule?

I had a brown box stuck in my dock for well over a month... I waited to call because it was no big deal, it was just a couple items sent to me from me Well, over a month went by and it was still in my dock.. I had to call..

But supposedly if the gift isn't opened within 30 days the sender gets the stuff back...

The rule doesn't apply to gifts that are sitting in your dock. It only applies to gifts that are sitting in your Kinzpost Inbox that haven'y been opened, so no worries about not opening your holiday gift bags/boxes
