Question Unanswered: Re-Sizing?

How do you re-size stuff to fit the WI limit thingy? I've been wondering about this, because I want to re-size my own stuff. Thanks!

EDIT: This is video avvies I'm talking about.

You can resize regular pictures on Picnik.com or animated and regular pics on Lunapic.com.

Hi nmk! :]
I'm not the expert at graphics, but here's how I do it:
I upload my picture at tinypic.com. You can do this by clicking the browse button, finding the picture you want on your computer, then click the resize button to choose the one you want. When you select avatar, it will fit in the limits for WI's avatar. When you select website/email, it will fit in the limits for posting on the forum. Usually, if you want anything else to fit (like a siggy), if you select website/email it will work as well for most other limits.
Good luck! :]

I have a mac, so what i do is i just put the image on my desktop, double click it to bring it up into it's own "preview" window, then zoom in or out. once i have the size i want, I press shift + command + 4 and take a picture of it.

an easier way might be....

www.picnik.com

upload your picture, then click the resize button above it
Click the image to open in full size.
Hope i helped!

Basically what others have said, haha. You can also edit pics you took if you had a digital camera by cropping differently, go to Lunapic or Tinypic as others have mentioned. If you didn't like that, a more difficult way would be to take your pic, copy and paste into paint, and then click and drag the corners. That's a bit more complicated though, I hope you figure out what works best for you!

Default Re: Re-Sizing?

It depends on what kind of resizing you want.

If you want to change the size of a picture because it's simply just too big, you can use what other people have suggested. I myself edit the picture in the places I make graphics.

The other kind of resizing is what people go to Cocoabean for. It's called the KB size. Normally, the only time the KB size on a graphic would be too big is if it's animated. I do not know how to change the KB size, but Cocoabean does! I recommend her shop.

Hope this helped!

If you have the pictures saved to your computer, you can take it and upload it to a website like lunapic or picnik and resize it, then save it back to your computer, or you can upload it to tinypic, edit, and resize it and you can just copy and paste it into WI-there are also people like cocobean who have resizing shops on WI for you

i use Lunapic.com to resize all of my graphics. It's great with animated and non-animated graphics. But if it doesn't work on your computer or for some other reason just ask a member to resize it for you
