Default Re: Raining + Raking garden = SLOW!

I just quit gardening altogether, I found gardening very boring and if I missed only a few days all my plants would die, and it would be very frustrating to dig them all up. I fi d other ways to earn KinzCash/get free food. (birthday cake, charm forest food, I love my webkinz, etc. Trust me, it adds up. ). I also found it very time consuming.

But, I suppose that everyone is right and the rain is making the raking a long process. If you have more patience than me, just go play in the Arcade or better yet take a break from your computer for an hour and go read a book or play outside, then come back in an hour, the rain should be gone, and you should be able to garden again.

However, you did say you dug up your ENTIRE garden... I'd sell most of it and just maintain one or two, it will be less time consuming.

Good luck, and happy gardening!

You know, don't give up gardening just yet. Yes, it takes twice as long to garden in the rain. It takes longer in heavy rain than in light rain. However, you don't have to weed daily, and you don't have to water at all. It takes 4 days for a weed to kill a plant. One of the times you check in over 3 days, you should have a nice, sunny day.

Again, if it is raining when you check in, leave and check another time. When I gardened this AM, it was heavily raining. I did my dailies. When I checked back a couple of minutes later, it stopped.

So, PLEASE, give it one more shot.

It is very time consuming. I have 20 rooms x 98 plants x 5 min per room = 1 hr 40 mins
I support my spending habits and those of my 3 kids. They play games and such for KC but they are not able to earn anywhere near what they need to keep up with all the goodies we can buy.
I would prefer to sacrifice an 1 and 40 mins of my time..and besides they would be bored out of their head if they had to help with it. The novelty wears off after the first 2 mins.

I also have way too many accounts for my own good and it takes me about an hour to do some dailies and other activities. I just can't allow myself to check the weather all the time.

Is the rain consistent between all the accounts? Do we all suffer at the same time?

I had dug up and replanted 3 days ago. That digging up in itself took a lot out of me only to be put off by the rain. I will see about doing less of them. Maybe 10 instead of 20. It'd take me just under an hour to do that.

Thank you for the voice of encouragement. I'm not normally a quitter but i just don't see the benefit in rain. I would like to see everyone who dislikes the rain to make a suggestion to Ganz to stop it. I think I will.

It's simply the rain. I have 11 gardens and I never garden if it's raining. It slows it down way too much..

Default Re: Raining + Raking garden = SLOW!

Yeah, I hate gardening in the rain. Although, I think I once gardened in the rain and it didn't seem slow at all, it was like normal. But every other time it has been slow. Maybe Ganz is secretly punishing us because we know that watering is useless!

And I once tried waiting (don't know how long) for the rain to stop, but it didn't, so I ended up gardening in the rain anyway.

My sister hasn't been on her account for a while, so her gardens have died off. My mom lets her gardens die off for winter, like real gardens do, then digs them back up in the spring. They look awful, but hey, if you get enough KC to last a few months, you can take time off. Just dig it back up when you want to start again.

When I planted my gardens, I did crop rotation, so I can't stop gardening EVER, or my system will be all messed up. I just bite the bullet and garden in the rain. And I can get into "decorating fits," where I blow a bunch of KC making new rooms, so I need the constant source of KC. Quizzy's and arcade games won't do it for me. I was up to 150,000 KC a few months ago, then cut that in about half by making new rooms. I'm back up to about 90,000 KC now, and I need to save up for Christmas. Stopping gardening is never an option for me!

And funny story about the rain... the first time I saw rain in WW, I had gone to my Winter Park, where I have several snowmen. I looked at one of the snowmen, and it looked like it was dripping! I thought, "Wait, snowmen in WW aren't supposed to melt!" Then I came here to WI and saw that rain was added to WW. It was so funny!

I have three theories as to why:

1. It matches with the weather at Ganz HQ.
2. It matches the weather where you live.
3. It is randomized.

Well, usually it's raining in WW when it's raining IRL for me.

O.M.G. I have four rooms that are filled to capacity with plants and one room with just my "foo foo" plants (most are my kids' though-I'm plant sitting) and I thought I ahd a lot of gardens! Even though I don't have that many, I still wait for the rain to stop-even if I have to wait for the next day...

I don't think I'd hve the patience for many more gardens...takes too long and I get bored too fast...

It happens because the rain is moving, so the computer is also busy running the rain while you re also trying to rake. This happens to me all the time, so I just come back later when it's not raining to do my gardening

I'll harvest any food that is ready if it is raining, and like others..I will not take the time to rake in the rain and wait an extra day if I have to rake....I find the rain frustrating as well..and would prefer sunny WW Outdoors all the time..I mean the season change is enough for me. And I get really tired of the snow very quickly.
