Default Answered: Raining + Raking garden = SLOW!

It's been over a year since I've gardened. I dug up all the plots on 3 accounts yesterday.

Today it's raining, I tried to rake and it's very slow. It takes on average 6 seconds for one plant!

I have 98 plants per room so it takes me about 5 minutes per room. I have many rooms. ARGH!

Is it my pc or did they change the raking time, is it the rain, or what?

If you know how to correct this please let me know.
(plz don't suggest clearing cache - tried that already)

I'll harvest any food that is ready if it is raining, and like others..I will not take the time to rake in the rain and wait an extra day if I have to rake....I find the rain frustrating as well..and would prefer sunny WW Outdoors all the time..I mean the season change is enough for me. And I get really tired of the snow very quickly.

Oh yes, the rain feature is super cool looking but just like a real rainy day, not much fun for gardening! You just have to wait for the rain to stop or deal with the long long lag...

Does it rain in the treetops? Can you put your plants there? I noticed it was raining in my garden but not on my treetop..never tried planting a garden there though....

This is awful

The only way I know to fix it is to try again later when the rain stops.

It is one of the reasons I gave up gardening actually.

I don't think it rains in treetops but according the Where Things Go in Webkinz World - Webkinz Insider Wiki seeds cannot be planted in Treetop Rooms

Oh thank you for the quick responses!!

Personally I don't like the look of the rain and I would far prefer that to be an optional feature.

So my next question is...is there a rain schedule?

When you say to check back later ...does that mean it changes hourly?

I fear I won't be able to pull off finishing these tonight.

I've got an apt in a half hour and not sure how long that will take.

LOL...I'll be sitting there thinking about my weed infested gardens LOL!!

Sometimes it seems to rain for a long time, like a lot of hours, and sometimes I'll check back in an hour and it has stopped..You just have to keep checkign randomly, and I do not believe there is any schedule for the rain..

I've always thoguht there should be a climate control for our rooms..What if you wanted an outdoor room in alaska? Or a hawaiian paradise? Tropical rainforest?

Just the the above members quoted, since the rain feature was added it takes forever and you have to come back later for quicker gardening I actually gave up gardening for this reason, it takes a very long time.

It's not what I wanted to hear but at least I know what's what now. Thank you all for your input.

Well I'm thankful to you for confirming this but terribly saddened at the same time. I may as well just retire from gardening and take up playing checkers full time. I just can't win then. I will pull up my seeds and sell them off ..I guess I'll sell most of my rare & curio too. What a disappointment this is.

And, I sorta chuckled when you mentioned the Hawaiian paradise. My Tiki lounge from the Vacation items must not be as attractive in the rain. It has got to be the numbest idea they've come up with (and I rarely dislike anything Ganz does but this is over the top for me!). Why not closing doors instead? Now that would be better! That would be putting their skills to good use! What next snowflakes? floods? earthquakes? I go into my green little yard to escape real world weather..why would I want more dreary rain in Webkinz World??

I'm with you..the only gardening I'll do is jumbleberry.

When I go to garden and it is raining, I will sometimes do it, but most of the time I will try again later. It is too slow when it rains. The weather is always changing on WW so, no need to put on the mud boots to garden, stay inside

I TOTALLY agree!

Why wear Billy boots when you can garden in the sun
