You see, I have a very large amount of plush Webkinz. I currently know all of their names, but I'm afraid that as I grow older, I won't remember them. I've thought about writing their names on their tush tags, but I don't want to risk having it rub off onto the plush. I currently have all their names written in a book, but I have a few pets with twins and I don't want to risk mixing them up in the future. Does anyone have any suggestions for certain markers/pens/other things to use to write their names on their tush tags? Any help is greatly appreciated.
I wrote on the tags of a few of my Webkinz with sharpie, and it didn't rub off onto the plush.
Chessy1 is correct, a sharpie marker works best. They dry fast, don't smudge and is permanent.
We have also made necklaces/collars for our Webkinz plush. You can use yarn or ribbon or if you know how to make bracelets by weaving string that looks cute also. For charms you can even use bark, or shells and write their name on it with a sharpie.
You could get a sticker to remind you of their names, and put it on their tags. Like, I have a black poodle named Jingle Bells, and I could get a music note sticker for her. Or you could write the names on a piece of paper, cut them out, and tape them on them.
if you still have the plastic envelopes your codes came in, slip a piece of paper with each pet's name into it. If you have already removed the envelope, use a hair elastic or a piece of ribbon that won't get caught in the plush fur to reattach it to the pet, I like placing them around the neck of the pet, looks like a collar then.
I have 19 Kinz, 3 Zums (which I renamed), 3 Hamsters (also renamed), 4 KinzKlips (named those) and a figurine (I named her too). I've had the collection at this number for quite awhile now, and I still remember ALL their names perfectly
You don't really have anything to worry about.
