That's so... ummm... creative.

My son lets his plants die... because he doesn't take care of them. He has spent more time digging them than raking them.

Don't worry about the plants, they die but digging replants them... you don't lose your seeds or anything.

Yep, all that happens is that the plants die - and then you dig them up and the cycle starts again...you just loose between 9-12 days of growth - but all of your plants can be replanted without a problem. It's just a little depressing to see how many of the plants were ready to be harvested if they hadn't dried out.

My kids forget to do their gardening ALL the time...

Good luck with your garden!!

Hi,
I am working shifts and therefore I don't always get to work in my garden. After I have left it for about a week, it just turns into weeds. All I needed to do is dig them all up and start over again. Hope this helps. Have a great day.

There's also a glitch (fungus?) that affects some plants. If they quit growing and seem to be in stasis, just dig them up and replant them.

We when we are away for extended amount time, we have done both things..let the big strawberry garden die off but we harvest everything we can first..and pulled the smaller garden into the dock...if they are close to harvest and we don't want to lose the crop we will pull that too into the dock also..

Then restart the cycle all over again...

enjoy your time off from WW...
