Problems with the Tomato Plant

I was wondering if anyone has noticed lately if the Tomato plant has been having problems? It seems as though I have been harvesting everything else many times and I have not been harvesting the tomatos.

Thanks

I know that the tomatoes take a lot longer than the other plants to ripen. They take 12 days until they are ready to harvest. If you are gardening for profit then they are not very profitable. Here's a great thread about gardening for profit: http://www.webkinzinsider.com/forum/...it-t71000.html

I personally have only one garden of tomatoes, but several of carrots, strawberries, watermelon, and pumpkin.

Yes, the tomatoes seem to take so long. I do the cabbage gardens, they are pretty fast.

My tomatos are just fine. My watermelons are what takes the longest. Try calling Ganz!

I had to stagger their growing cycles 4 days apart I think. but each yard has different Item so when I harvest It is a lot. also if the room door ways are blocked we noticed it messes it up too.http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_1_217.gif

Thanks for all your responses, I did not know that it was a 12 day cycle, I guess it is good I have very few of those plants. And also thanks for the link to gardening for profit :)

Thanks again

Watermelons should only take 7 days, tomatos are 12. Seems like forever between harvests! ::)

I garden for profit, but also to have ingredients to cook for my pets. There are numerous sandwich recipes using tomatoes, so it's not a waste of time/energy/KC to plant some!!!

Hello ilove2bamom! I have been harvesting tomato plants lately, so I don't think it is a widespread problem. Hm.. Maybe try to move them to a different position in your garden? That may help. I hope you get some fresh tomatoes soon!
